ABSTRACT

This study examines the practices and challenges of human resource management (HRM) in selected public and private organizations across Mindanao. Using a descriptive-correlational design, the research assessed HRM practices in recruitment and selection, training and development, and employee engagement, as well as challenges related to financial constraints, security and safety, and cultural diversity. Data from 79 HR personnel were analyzed using statistical tools including ANOVA and Pearson correlation. Results revealed high levels of HRM practice and challenge experiences, no significant differences across demographic groups, and a significant positive relationship between HRM practices and challenges. An intervention plan, “RISE HR,” is proposed to enhance HR responsiveness and sustainability in Mindanao.
