ABSTRACT

This dissertation examines the connection between organizational performance and women’s leadership positions in Philippine government organizations. The study employs a mixed-methods research approach that includes surveys, interviews, and secondary data analysis to investigate the influence of women’s participation in leadership roles on organizational success. According to the results, views of gender dynamics, work environment, and organizational efficiency rise dramatically with higher leadership scores. The most effective female leaders in the Philippine government often mix transformational, servant, and inclusive leadership ideologies, aligning with cultural values of empathy, community, and cooperative progress. Women leaders in chosen government agencies outperform benchmark scores regarding organizational performance, and gender dynamics and the workplace greatly influence their leadership qualities and styles. To address gender disparity in the Philippines, a multifaceted strategy focusing on systemic, cultural, and policy-driven variables is necessary. This entails bolstering gender-sensitive policies, promoting women’s economic empowerment, combating gender bias in leadership and politics, addressing gender-based violence, fostering cultural change, enhancing access to healthcare, and enlisting the help of non-governmental organizations and civil society. The findings can help policymakers create and implement policies that support gender equality in government agency leadership positions, assist organizations in making better training and development programs for female leaders, contribute to academic research, and impact society by emphasizing the advantages of women in leadership positions.
